Music Onboarding

Onboarding: Build Your Music Learning Plan

This onboarding flow sets your level, instrument path, schedule, and first milestone so you start with a clear system.

Step 1: Choose Your Primary Goal

  • Play songs confidently.
  • Write original music.
  • Produce and release tracks.
  • Pass graded/exam pathways.

Step 2: Choose One Primary Instrument (12 Weeks)

Select one instrument first from the Instrument Directory. Focus creates measurable progress faster than multi-instrument switching.

Step 3: Baseline Assessment (Day 1)

  1. Record a 60-second performance (or first-sound attempt for beginners).
  2. Set current level: beginner / developing / intermediate.
  3. List three technical gaps and one musical goal.

Step 4: Weekly Schedule Template

  • 4 days x 30-45 minutes minimum.
  • 50% technique, 30% repertoire, 20% creativity/recording.
  • 1 weekly checkpoint recording and review note.

Step 5: First 14-Day Targets

  1. Consistent setup and care routine.
  2. First clean tone / stroke / articulation consistency.
  3. Rhythm stability with metronome basics.
  4. One complete beginner piece or pattern at target tempo.

Step 6: Choose Your Next Module
