Overview

Simple Pattern (“the App”) is a haptic vibration pattern app developed by William Jiamin. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
• We do not track your location
• We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Custom vibration patterns you create
• App preferences (theme, language, settings)
• Session history for adaptive pattern recommendations
• Vault media (photos/videos stored with on-device encryption)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.

Remote Control Feature

The App offers an optional remote control feature that allows two devices to connect:

• Nearby mode: Uses Apple’s MultipeerConnectivity framework to connect directly between devices over WiFi/Bluetooth. No data is sent to any server.
• Internet mode: Uses an encrypted WebSocket relay to connect devices over the internet. All commands are end-to-end encrypted using industry-standard cryptography (ECDH key agreement + AES-GCM). Our relay server cannot read your commands — it only forwards encrypted data. No data is stored on the server; rooms expire automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Pattern Sharing

When you share a vibration pattern, the pattern data is exported as a file on your device. You choose how to share it (Messages, AirDrop, email, etc.). We have no access to shared patterns.

In-App Purchases

Premium features are managed through Apple’s StoreKit framework. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.

Microphone & Motion Sensors

The App requests access to your microphone (for audio-reactive mode) and motion sensors (for motion-reactive mode). This data is processed entirely on your device in real-time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL.
